Pinochio…granted I haven’t seen it in years, but whenever I’m in the mood for a Disney movie this just never comes to mind…there must be reason for that
Screenshot of my desktop. very exciting stuff, took that picture of two adorable Lorikeets at the Aquarium of the Pacific at one of my favorite exhibits.
to take a road trip through the central coasts of California, and see Santa Barbara, SLO, Big Sur, and Monterey Bay!!
that I strive to maintain my position on the Dean’s list at school. Who knew that this would be my life? lol well it feels good to receive praise and see my hard work pay off in good grades. That’s how all people should look at life. You have to work very hard to achieve success and reap the benefits of life, not just expect it to be handed to you when you aren’t working hard or doing everything and anything in your power to achieve your goals…(coughLiberalscough).
I’d just like to express how much I loved my little vacation this past week to the central coasts of California and Kern. We drove to Cambria, which I swear is reminiscent of StoryBrooke from Once Upon a Time. It was super quaint and had a very whimsical feel with all the gardens, hey there was even a castle nearby! (Hearst Castle). Our hotel was so relaxing, and I loved the beach that was 3 minutes away! We went to Hearst Castle the day after we arrived and that was a really great experience. The castle was owned and built by William Randolf Hearst a renowned media conglomerate (which happened to be VERY relevant to my major ;) ) I was trying to remember the interesting fact one of my teachers had told us in class regarding William Randolf Hearst, and of course I only remembered it when we returned to our hotel. The movie “Citizen Kain” is loosely based on William Randolf Hearst, which is pretty damn cool considering that movie is iconic and mentioned in every single one of my communication classes. After we went to the castle we went to visit a beach with TONS of elephant seals…and I mean TONS. they were pretty cute but also rather disgusting. The next day we drove to Paso Robles to go wine tasting which was amazing, and I’d say was pretty successful considering I actually enjoy red wine now. From there we drove to Kern and the weather was PERFECT. That vacation was seriously what I needed after working my ass off in my classes.
First movie I saw:
The Little Mermaid
“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone”
I’ve been living by this quote this year, and it’s been quite a great year need I say more.
